So just thought that I would post a few pics of my dog Kona... to start Kona and I have an on again off again relationship... he drives me crazy, but I do love him, especially because Liam loves Kona so much and Kona is so very good with Liam and Owen.
We got Kona when he was 1 1/2 and about a year after acquiring Kona he had torn a ligament in his left knee which is equivalent to a human ACL, and surgery was needed to repair the damage. The Vet told us that his right ACL will more than likely have the same thing happen within 5 years... and guess what happened, yup, just the other day Kona started to limp again. Being in a bit of denial I took him for a few walks and some walks were better than others, but we could tell he was not right... so back to the vet 2 years later to have the right leg operated on.
Kona had what's called Tightrope surgery on his right leg and he is now at home resting. All I can say is thank god for pet insurance, and I can not say enough about the vet at Surrey Animal Hospital, Dr. Peter and his wife Ricky they are terrific and we definitely recommend them, they are open 24 hours and so very friendly. Thanks for fixing our pooch!

I will post some pictures of Kona's progress in the weeks ahead, I am sure to be a little extra busy with my 4 legged friend in the weeks ahead.

ReplyDeleteRoxy can so feel Kona's pain. She went through her surgery last year. Unfortunately, it looks like she needs hind leg #2 done, like last month. Kisses on the snout for Kona from Roxy, Dione and Peter. Right next to Liam's kisses!!!
